I am so happy I got to go to Florida this summer.  If there is one thing I can say is that the Beaches of South Walton are absolutely amazing.  One of the first things I noticed is how clean it is!  So many people clean up after themselves.  It makes me so happy.  I swear, I must have been a mermaid in my former life.  I feel so at home near the ocean.

  I am an official SCUBA DIVER!!!  I am so happy in the water.  I was hoping I would get to see a sea turtle when I was on my first dive at the Destin Jetty but I didn't  What I DID get to do was actually pick up some trash from the bottom of the sea,  It made me happy to do it but sad because it was there.  I talked to a dive master who is on the Turtle Watch in Destin and he told me that the number of nests were down this year.  I asked him what caused this and he said that last year they had over 100 nests and so it would be 2-3 years before those turtles come back.  

I don't know when I'm going to get to go back to the beach.  My Aunt Phi is going in September and my parents are going in October.  I will be in school and so I am not invited.  :-( 

So since I can't really participate in Camille's Cause for a while, please remember to help me out when you go.  Just email me your pics of you picking up the trash and tell me where you are.  I can't wait to show the world what we are all doing!
